Clear Events — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Clear Events puts the things you have coming up — a market day, a class, a closing date — onto your own site. This page says exactly what it reads, what it keeps, and who else sees any of it.

The short version

We store nothing. There is no account, no database and no profile — not of you, and not of your visitors. The app has nothing to delete because it never kept anything.

Your events are saved by Wix, in your own site's data, in a collection that belongs to your site. They go with your site if you move it, they go if you delete it, and you can download the whole lot as a spreadsheet file at any time from the Events page in your dashboard — including on the day you decide to use something else.

What the app holds

Nothing, on our side.

Both live in your site. Neither is copied anywhere else.

What a visitor's page does

A page with the block on it asks your own site for your events, over the visitor's ordinary session with your site, and asks us for nothing at all. Nothing of ours runs on it beyond the block's own code.

No cookie is set. No identifier is created. Nothing is logged.

If a visitor presses Add to calendar, their browser either opens Google Calendar with the event filled in, or saves a small calendar file to their device. Both happen entirely in their browser. We are not told that it happened, and no request reaches us.

What our server does

Two things, both only for you, and only when you are signed in to your own dashboard or editor:

Both answer only a signed-in Wix user. Your visitors have no way to ask them anything, and neither keeps a copy of what passes through it.

The app's server runs on Wix's own infrastructure, as part of the app.

What we do not collect

Your events are as public as your page

An event on a published page can be read, saved and linked to by anyone who can open that page — and a calendar file a visitor saves carries the title, the time and the place with it. That is the point of putting the date up. Put nothing in an event that you would not want a stranger to read.

Third parties

There is no one else. We sell nothing to anyone, and there is nothing to sell.

Children

The app is a tool for site owners and is not directed at children. It collects no personal data from anybody, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
